What to do if you arrive later for an exam
If you are going to be late for an exam please contact your Pastoral Mentor with an estimated time of arrival. On arrival at school, please sign in and tell the Reception staff that you have an exam and ask them to contact the Exams Manager who will arrange for a member of staff to meet you and escort you to your exam room.
Candidates will be considered 鈥淰ery Late鈥 if they arrive 1 hour after the awarding body鈥檚 published starting time for an exam, if it lasts one hour or more (i.e. after 10 a.m. for morning exams and 2.30 p.m. for afternoon exams). If you arrive 鈥淰ery Late鈥, your exam paper will be sent to the awarding body in the normal way with a report giving the reason why you were late. Please be advised that the awarding body may not accept your exam paper.
What to do if you are unwell on the day of an exam
If you are seriously unwell and cannot attend your exam, please ask your parent/carer to contact your Pastoral Mentor immediately. You will need to provide medical evidence to confirm your illness e.g. a doctor鈥檚 notice or a self-certification form stamped by the doctor鈥檚 surgery.
If you feel unwell but are able to sit your exam, please tell the Exams Manager so we are aware of your situation and invigilators can be advised. If you feel unwell during the exam, please put your hand up and an invigilator will assist you.
